A man has been charged with 10 shoplifting incidents of more than £1,000 worth of goods during 10 instances of shoplifting in Fareham.

James Durber, aged 39, of Hayes Close in Fareham, was charged with the following:

  • Theft of £82.50 worth of goods from the BP garage on West Street in Portchester on 27 November 2023.
  • Theft of £105 worth of goods from the BP garage on West Street in Portchester on 8 January 2024.
  • Theft of £71.25 worth of goods from Co-op on Gudge Heath Lane on 17 January 2024.
  • Theft of £110 worth of goods from Highlands Service Station on 20 January 2024.
  • Theft of £110 worth of goods from Co-op on Gudge Heath Lane on 20 January 2024.
  • Theft of £50.50 worth of goods from Co-op on Gudge Heath Lane on 28 January 2024.
  • Theft of £57.45 worth of goods from Co-op on Gudge Heath Lane on 29 January 2024.
  • Theft of £260 worth of goods from Co-op on Highlands Road on 31 January 2024.
  • Theft of £100 worth of meat from Highlands Service Station on 1 February 2024.
  • Theft of £71.40 worth of goods from Co-op on Highlands Road on 1 February 2024.

He has been bailed with conditions to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on 22 February.
