Caroline thanks local volunteers

Local MP, Dame Caroline Dinenage, is asking residents to nominate any local volunteers or community organisation in Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Stubbington or Hill Head who deserves recognition.

Caroline is relaunching her annual Local Volunteers Reception in Parliament which allows her to thank them for their commitment to the community.

Commenting, Caroline said: “Volunteers are so important to the work of charities and community groups – they have an invaluable presence in our area, helping out in places from sports clubs to hospitals.

We have such a strong body of volunteers in Gosport, Lee on the Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head who give up so much of their time and energy to help others and make our local community so special. I am extremely grateful for their dedication.”

Residents can nominate a volunteer to attend the event via https://www.caroline4gosport.co.uk/volunteers-reception-nominations before 1 February 2024.

Due to event capacity, it is likely that not everyone nominated will be able to attend, but all those nominated will receive a letter of thanks.
