Fareham Borough Council is reminding residents that they only have until the end of the month to claim their HALF PRICE  bin, when subscribing to the Clip and Collect garden waste collection service.

There are more than 20,700 Fareham households currently subscribed to the service, which collects garden waste every two weeks with residents’ recycling.

The subscription is broken down into two parts. An annual subscription for the collection service and a one-off fee to purchase a new brown-lidded wheelie bin. Until the 31 August 2023, residents who sign up for an annual subscription will only pay half price for the upfront cost of this wheelie bin.

There are two subscription packages to choose from based on the size of the bin:

  1. 140 litre wheelie bin:
  • Annual subscription £55
  • Half price bin at £18.50 instead of £37
  1. 240 litre wheelie bin:
  • Annual subscription £65
  • Half price bin at £19.50 instead of £39

Signing up is easy, simply sign up online at www.fareham.gov.uk/gardenwaste or call 01329 236100 and ask one of our officers to sign you up over the phone.

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Ian Bastable, said: “This special offer is similar to that which was run when the subscription service was first introduced. It provides a significant saving against the upfront cost of the brown-lidded wheelie bin when signing up to the annual subscription service. This special offer will expire at the end of August so, if you are thinking of subscribing, I urge you to do so without delay.”
