A man’s been charged with a number of shoplifting incidents in Gosport.

Aaron Cruickshank, aged 38, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the following:

  • Theft of £81.60 worth of meat and cheese from Tesco in Forton Road on 12 October.
  • Theft of approximately £80-90 worth of meat from Tesco in Alver Village Square on 12 October.
  • Theft of £80 worth of chocolate from Tesco in Forton Road on 13 October.
  • Theft of meat from Tesco in Forton Road on 16 October.
  • Theft of £142.30 worth of chocolate and sweets from One Stop in Elson Road on 19 October.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 25 October). At the hearing, he pleaded guilty to all five shoplifting offences, and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court again on 15 November for sentencing.
